Up to 100 submissions have been received by Galway City Council on the Draft City Development Plan.
The plan sets out a vision and overall strategy for the sustainable development of the city between 2017 and 2023.
The draft City Development Plan is a blueprint for the planning and development of Galway City for a six year period starting in 2017.
The plans includes objectives for the zoning of land, the improvement of amenities, the development of areas in need of renewal, the provision of Traveller accommodation and the protection of the environment.
The deadline for submissions was on Tuesday and the local authority is now processing up to 100 documents received from the public.
A report will then be prepared in advance of the next development plan meeting which will take place at City Hall on the 29th of November.
The report will be presented to City Councillors who will take the submissions made on the draft plan into consideration before making a final decision.
