Gardaí review CCTV after city centre assault

Gardaí are reviewing CCTV footage in a bid to catch the culprits of an assault in the city centre last night.
The incident happened at the junction of Upper Abbeygate Street and Mary Street at around 11.30pm.
A man in his 20s was assaulted by a group of people and was taken to University Hospital Galway with head injuries, although his injuries are not life-threatening.
Gardaí are reviewing CCTV today in a bid to identify the culprits.
They are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Abbeygate Street/Mary Street area around 11.30 last night and who may have witnessed the assault to contact them.
