NUI Galway is being accused of ‘punishing’ women who highlighted gender discrimination at the university.
The Irish Federation of University Teachers claims NUIG has failed to address outstanding legal and Labour Court cases on the controversial issue.
The claim comes more than two years since the Equality Tribunal ruled against NUI Galway in a case involving Dr. Micheline Sheehy-Skeffington.
High Court actions have also been brought by Dr Sylvie Lannegrand, Dr Róisín Healy, Dr Margaret Hodgins, and Dr Adrienne Gorman.
IFUT Deputy General Secretary Joan Donegan claims the university is unnecessarily stalling and prolonging legal issues.
