Overnight raid at business premises in Headford

Gardaí are investigating following an attempted burglary at a Headford business premises in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the incident at Monaghan’s Centra, which took place between 2am and 4.30am.
The raiders gained entry to the premises, located on the Galway Road, by driving a dark-coloured jeep through the front entrance.
However it’s understood any attempt to take cash or goods was unsuccessful.
Gardai are now gathering available CCTV evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.
They believe a silver saloon car may have been used by the raiders as they fled the scene.
Anyone who may have seen such a vehicle acting suspiciously in the area between 2am and 4.30am is urged to contact Tuam Garda Station at 093-70840.
