Garda team searches lake for woman missing for 30 years

A Garda sub-aqua team is searching a lake near the home of a Carna woman who disappeared from her home over 30 years ago.
Married mother-of-seven, Barbara Walsh, was 33 years of age when she was last seen at home on the morning of the 22nd of June, 1985.
A team is searching the lake near her home at Rusheenamanagh today.
It’s understood the search is not being carried out due to new information.
The action is part of an ongoing review of the case in which a number of lines of inquiry and action items were generated.
The water-based search is expected to continue tomorrow.
