Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Ballinasloe woman who was ordered to pay a one-sixth share of a Lotto win to her stepson by a judge, has lodged an appeal against the ruling.
Judge Richard Humphreys directed Mary Walsh of Perssepark to pay €560,000 of a €3.3 million Lotto win, to her stepson David Walsh of Knocknagreena in Ballinasloe.
The judge accused Mrs Mary of ‘ducking and weaving’ in the witness box and described her evidence as ‘unreliable’.
She claimed her stepson accepted the family home at Knocknagreena in Ballinasloe instead of a €200,000.
The appeal is due to be heard on March 24th.
