Galway Fire and Rescue Service has warned landowners to stop burning scrub as gorse fires got out of control over the weekend across the county.
Fire crews tackled blazes in Loughrea, Clifden, Costello Connemara, Tuam, Gort and Baile na hAbhann over the weekend.
Carraroe fire brigade has been at the scene of a gorse fire in the area nearly all weekend with the crew getting very little sleep.
