Plans to build a tourist lodge and bird watching hut in Oranmore have been approved.
Applicant Leonie Finn has secured permission for a two-storey building on a site adjacent to Oranmore Castle.
County planners have attached 11 conditions. One states the developer employ an archaeologist to monitor groundworks.
This expert may direct work be stopped on site should archaeological material be discovered.
