New car registrations were down in Galway for the first three months of the year, compared to 2016.
The latest figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that there were 2,962 new cars registered between January and March.
This compares to 3,472 new car registered in Galway between January and March last year, representing a drop of 14.7%.
SIMI says the drop in car registrations across the country is indicative of a slight drop in consumer sentiment, which peaked early last year.
