Gardai sealed off a park in Salthill earlier today following the discovery of a body.
It is understood that the body of a man in his late 40s was discovered in the Old Folks’ Park beside the Circle of Life Garden by a member of the public shortly before 11am, and forensic investigators arrived shortly afterwards.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
