A body has been taken from the water near Galway Docks at lunchtime today.
The body has not yet been identified but a search has been taking place for a young woman who entered the water of the River Corrib in the city at about 2.30 am today.
The Irish Coastguard, Galway Gardai, Civil Defence, Galway Lifeboat and firefighters have been searching the river and Galway bay area since early today for the missing woman.
