175 new jobs are to be created in Loughrea following a major expansion announcement by Chanelle Pharmaceuticals.
An Taoiseach Enda Kenny visited the facility in the IDA business park in Loughrea this afternoon to unveil the company’s €70m expansion plan.
Chanelle is the largest Irish-owned manufacturer of pharmaceutical products in Ireland, employing 375 people in Ireland and abroad.
Today’s announcement will bring the firms total workforce to 550, and 90% of the new jobs will be created at its Loughrea facility.
