Gardai are appealing for witnesses to an assault which took place in the city in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Shortly after 3am, a man was assaulted outside Supermac’s at Eyre Square and suffered head injuries as a result.
He was unresponsive when Gardai arrived at the scene and was taken to UHG where he received treatment for his injuries.
He has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering.
Gardai say witnesses are needed to help piece together the full details of the assault
