Post mortem examinations will take place today (Monday) on the bodies of two men recovered in Galway Bay over the weekend.
Gardaí say the body of 21-year-old Private Ben Garrett was taken from the water yesterday morning at Galway Docks and transferred by the Rescue 118 helicopter to Castlebar Hospital.
Private Garrett was last seen leaving a nightclub in the city in the early hours of March 31st.
Separately another man’s body was recovered from Galway Bay on Saturday morning during the search for missing Roscommon man Anthony Henehan.
Mr Henehan was last seen entering the water at the Salmon Weir Bridge on March 10th.
Post mortem examinations on the two bodies will take place at University Hospital Galway later today.
