A Galway singer made music history this weekend by being the first male singer from the county to go straight into Number One in the Irish Pop albums charts.
Outselling last week’s chart topper Adele and ahead of all other international acts, including the late Prince, Mike Denver has hit number one in the charts with his new album titled Cut Loose on the first week of its release.
The Portumna singer said it was a shock, but a very pleasant one, for him when the album went straight to the top of the Pop charts this weekend.
