Searches are continuing this evening for a young man who went missing in the city yesterday.
It’s understood 19 year old student at Galway Technical Institute, Tiernán Archer was last seen outside the college yesterday morning but did not attend class.
Some of the teenager’s belongings including a camera bag were discovered at South Park in the Claddagh.
Tiernán is of average height with light facial hair and usually wears thick-framed glasses.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Galway Garda Station at 091 538000.
Meanwhile, searches are continuing in the city today for a person seen entering the water near Wolfe Tone Bridge.
A man was seen entering the water by a passerby around 4p.m.
The Coast Guard and Lifeboat services including the Search and Rescue helicopter were deployed, but no-one was located.
