Numbers at the Galway Races were down again for Day 6 (Saturday), although there was a slight increase on the Tote.
A total of 13,334 people passed through the turnstiles, down 710 (5%) from the 14,044 who went in the enclosure on Day 6 of last year’s Summer Festival.
A total of €576,212 was spent on the Tote, which was up €28,445 (5%) from the €547,767 last year.
The bookmakers’ turnover at the racecourse was €804,863 – that’s down €58,189 (7%) from the €863,052 on Day 6 last year.
