Households and businesses served by the mid-Galway water network are to experience further disruption to their supply.
It comes as Irish Water and Galway County Council are to carry out the flushing of mains.
This will take place this week and next week and will cause some disruption.
The mid-Galway scheme serves Monivea, Abbeyknockmoy, Kiltullagh, Attymon, Gurteen, East Athenry and Colmanstown.
A boil water notice was issued for the network last month following advice from the HSE.
The order was enforced due to persistent heavy rainfall which had caused a deterioration in the raw water source.
It has since been lifted and the water is deemed safe for consumption.
Residents in the Carrowbaun and Kilconieron areas will be impacted by disruption caused by the flushing of mains today (Tuesday) and tomorrow.
Further flushing will take place across the scheme this week and next.
