An Taoiseach Enda Kenny was in the county today for an unannounced private visit to Craughwell to see flood relief work underway.
The visit was organised by OPW Minister and Galway East T.D Seán Canney.
Funding has been sanctioned for the Dunkellin relief project which is expected to take three seasons to complete.
Minister Canney says the Taoiseach got to see first hand the work being carried out by the county council and the OPW in Craughwell.
