The first series of public consultations on a new tourism strategy for the city and county will get underway in Connemara from tomorrow and in Gort and the city from next week
Galway County Council and Galway City Council are in the process of developing a Tourism Strategy for Galway.
The local authorities are hoping to include input from Galway’s tourism sector, communities involved in tourism and public agencies who support tourism activities.
It’s hoped the new Tourism Strategy will assist the development of the sector over the coming years by ensuring a strategic and collaborative approach among the various stakeholders.
The first consultation meeting takes place in the Connemara Coast Hotel in Furbo tomorrow from 9am – 2pm.
Further meetings will be held at the Lady Gregory Hotel, Gort on Monday December 5th and at the Salthill Hotel on Tuesday December 6th.
