NUIG makes mark in world rankings list for nursing

NUI Galway is one of four Irish universities which has taken the Top 100 positions for at least one subject in the latest QS World University Rankings.
The seventh edition of QS lists the world’s best universities for the study of 46 different subjects.
Harvard University is number one in 15 tables, ahead of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Ireland’s universities are featured in the top 100, eighteen times.
NUIG takes one top 100 position as it debuts in the 51-100 category for Nursing.
University College Cork takes two top-100 positions – it ranks in the 51-100 band for both Nursing and Pharmacy & Pharmacology.
Trinity College Dublin is ranked in the top 100 for two subjects while University College Dublin is ranked in the top 100 for thirteen subjects.
In total, Irish higher education sees its share of places in the top 100 decrease – from 30 in 2016 to 18 in 2016.
