Galway Bay fm newsroom – The man who died following a crash in Loughrea town yesterday has been named locally.
Mark Madden, from Westbridge, Loughrea, died after the single vehicle incident which happened at Barrack Street in the town at 8am morning.
The 77-year-old was taken to Portiuncula Hospital after his car hit a steel barrier.
He later died in hospital.
Gardaí in Loughrea are appealing for witnesses to contact them at 091 842870.
