A racing yacht will arrive at Galway Docks later this week as it prepares for a world-wide sailing race.
The yacht features a Claddagh ring on its hull and will be skippered by Galway native Enda O’Coineen.
It will be here for a month as part of Team Ireland’s first entry into the Vendee Globe.
The non stop race around the world starts in November.
